- Open the download.
Double-click NextChapter-1.0-8.dmg in your Downloads folder.
- Drag it into Applications.
Move Next Chapter onto the Applications shortcut, then open it from Applications.
- Make it your countdown.
Choose Your plan to set your retirement date and holidays. Open Calendar & PTO to plan days off.
How does iCloud work on Mac?
Sign in to iCloud in System Settings, then open iCloud sync in Next Chapter. Choose your existing cloud plan, or publish this Mac’s plan. Your countdown can also work locally without iCloud.
This Mac download uses the live iCloud database. The current web preview and early development builds use a separate database, so they do not sync with this Mac release yet. Plans and invitations stay separate until those clients use the live database too.
Can I share it with someone?
Yes—send them this download page. They install the app and use their own Apple Account. Installing the app does not give them access to your countdown. Use Sharing in the Mac app to invite their Apple Account to view your plan separately.
