Your next chapter.
Your information.

Effective October 18, 2026 · Kevin Coleman · Next Chapter 1.0

Your retirement plan and personal stories stay on your device. This website and support email have different data flows, described below.

About this policy

Kevin Coleman develops Next Chapter for iPhone and Next Chapter TV for Apple TV. This policy covers those apps, this website, and messages you choose to send to support.

Your countdown

Your retirement date, progress start date, holiday choices, scheduled time off, PTO goal and appearance preferences are stored locally to calculate your countdown. The developer does not receive this information. The iPhone and Apple TV apps keep separate plans and do not synchronize.

The apps have no accounts, advertisements, tracking or analytics SDKs. The iPhone app shares countdown settings with its Home Screen widgets through a local App Group. Stories and recordings are not shared with widgets.

Stories, voice & AI

On iPhone, Story Studio stores your responses, transcripts and draft versions locally. Optional AI drafting uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Next Chapter does not send your personal content to a cloud AI service or use Private Cloud Compute.

Voice input asks for microphone permission. Recording starts when you begin a voice interview and stops when you finish or leave it. Transcription runs on your device. Apple may download required speech or model assets; those system services follow Apple’s policies and your settings.

You can type instead, turn off voice as the default in Next Chapter Settings, or revoke microphone access in iPhone Settings. The countdown does not need microphone access.

Retention & deletion

A recording is deleted after its transcript has been safely saved. If transcription fails or recording is interrupted, the recording stays locally so you can retry or discard it. Deleting an interview removes its text, draft versions and associated recovery recording.

Your plan stays on the device until you change it or delete the app. Deleting the app removes its private local data. Remove Home Screen widgets if you no longer want the countdown displayed. Backups or copies retained by the operating system follow your system settings and may contain earlier app data; manage those copies in system settings. Next Chapter does not operate its own cloud backup service.

This website & support

This website does not include advertising, analytics scripts, an account system, or an embedded social feed. Its pages, fonts and product images do not require third-party tracking services. The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the website.

If you email support, you choose to share your email address and the content of your message with Kevin Coleman and the email services used to deliver it. That information is used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue. Do not include private stories or recordings unless you intentionally want to share them.

Support correspondence is kept only as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations. To request deletion of support messages, contact support@futurepathdevelopment.com. The developer cannot retrieve or delete the private app content stored on your device.
